There is nothing wrong with a good cheeseburger, and there is certainly not anything wrong with a good Krispy Kreme Donut!  But together???  Come on!  haha  I can’t even imagine what that would even taste like…LOL

Altho when I mentioned it to Raymond he did decide that if it was sausage on there…he could totally do that, with syrup to dip it in…hhmmm he may be onto something there….:)

Well if you know anything about the Bush Family this picture will look familiar!  Ever since the kids (Jay, Amiee, Raymond, Brian & Craig) Dad (Papa) did this with all of them…there at pictures of each of them being hoisted in the air, showing their balancing ablities….  And as you can see the tradition lives!:)

Tried the popcorn and it is FABULOUS!!!!!

We used it as an object lesson in our WHY WEIGHT meeting…not only is it low fat, but it is easy and cheap!:)

Ok, who are these people trying to fool?  These are AQUA DOTS…you remember, the toy that was HUGELY popular right before Christmas and there was a massive recall bcuz some company in China decided it would be funny to lace them with drugs so that when the children ate them (not that they are supposed to, but you know kids…) they would get stoned.  Make no mistake, these are indeed AQUA DOTS!

Microwave Popcorn….mmmm…well I officially started my weight loss campaign again.  My starting point was McKenzie’s 6 month bday.  So I was bummed my baby is closer to her one year bday, but I was REALLY bummed that my deadline had arrived!

So here I am STARVING!  And I think hhmm what in the world can I eat @ 9 PM, that I can feel good about in the morning?  A small (and I mean small) bag of microwave popcorn!  And I consider it a victory since I only had 10 kernals that did not pop!  :)   Not to bad!:)

Altho it sent me on a hunt online for different micro popcorns….and this is what I found and I thought I would share…with the one person who actually reads this…LOL

Plain Brown Popper

Recipe courtesy Alton Brown
Show:  Good Eats
Episode:  Ear Apparent

1/4 cup good quality popcorn
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt or popcorn salt
Sprinkle jalapeno seasoning mix
Paper lunch bag
Stapler

Toss the popcorn with the olive oil, salt, and jalapeno seasoning mix in the paper bag. Fold the top of the bag over and staple the bag twice to close. Place the bag in the microwave and microwave on high for 2 minutes to 3 minutes, or until there are about 5 seconds between pops.
NOTE: Popcorn salt is a super-fine salt that is designed especially for sticking to food such as popcorn. It has the taste of regular table salt, but its granules are much finer.

That Uncle Alton (as we call him here…:)  I would do this sans staples (staples + microwave = walmart trip for new microwave…haha)  So I would just fold it over…but great idea huh?

Maybe I will try that tomorrow night, when I am STARVING again….haha

Somebody needs to fix her! August 6, 2008

Well Praise the Lord, we are teething!  And there is nothing more annoying than knowing what is wrong with your baby and not being able to fix it.  You can only give your child so much medication, teething tablets, orajel…you name it!

The other night McKenzie was a little fussy and was ready for bed as well and would not stop crying, so Ethan emerged into the kitchen with his “fixer” outfit on, proclaiming…..”I am Fixer Ethan, I am here to fix my baby sister so she will stop crying…!”  O if it were that simple, you would see me in those silly goggles 24/7 this week, tears streaming down with a piece of ice cream cake beside me!:)

So Ethan worked his magic to fix her…and apparently…..IT WORKED!

Sweet Sarah August 4, 2008

Sarah….for any of you that are reading this know who this is you are gonna fall off your chair!  Sarah is 13!  And here she is meeting McKenzie for the first time!  She was so excited to finally meet her and she loved spending time with Ethan too!

I used to nanny Sarah, from when she was 1 till she was 5, and then she was off to preschool and kindergarten..and I was sad…:(  I couldn’t love Sarah more if she was my own child, I feel like she is part of our family and I was elated I got to see her and spend some time with her while her and her parents were visiting. They live in Las Vegas so we haven’t seen her for a long time, and don’t get to see them as often as we would like, with 2 kids and jobs, etc, it is not always easy to hop a plane to Sin City.  So we were so happy to see her!

I miss her muchly and am so proud of the young lady she has become!  When she left Ethan was very sad and told me he missed her so much, and asked if he could marry her…hehe  He loved her as much as I do and I was so happy about that!

While grooming his ’stache’, McKenzie takes a peak @ the rest of his hand in this riveting game of UNO, or maybe they were just using UNO cards but it was actually GO FISH…which would be more like it since that is the only card game Ethan knows…haha

Who can “Rock a Stache”?  Our POPPY!!!
