Well the 4th was an occasion this year!!! We packed a whole lot into this day and it was a blast! (no pun intended!) We went to the parade and got a ton of candy and 2 picnics and ate brownies…seeing a trend here…haha
Ethan had so much fun and McKenzie loved the fireworks, and Mommy and Daddy….were tired! 
Ethan is so smitten with his baby sister it is really sweet to watch. For instance this morning she was playing on the floor and he was in the other room, I could see her and she got a little close to a toy that she probably shouldn’t have been playing with anyways, but wasn’t something that could hurt her (put the phone down, Childrens Services does not need to be notified…haha). Ethan came in and saw she had it and he ripped it off of her, she of course started screaming…not only was she mad he took it but it hurt her face, as soon as he saw how upset she was and that he hurt her, he just started sobbing. After checking for wounds and calming everyone down I asked the reason why he was so upset he said, “Cuz I hurt my baby sister and it was just an accident…” so sweet. I hope he keeps that tender heart towards her always…especially when he finds her playing with his dinosaurs…hehe

Ever since Ethan could chew, snack time has been a ritual in this house…Raymond would get home from work and find some salty, yummy snack and have a seat on the couch and snack away! Ethan would see him and climb up onto his lap and snack time began…todays choice was Pringles, and I think someone else wanted to join them…haha
Dino’s are pretty big at my house right now, we had a dino party and of course there were more dino’s than you could shake a stick at….hhmmm would you shake a stick @ a dino. I mean seriously, if I was taking a walk and saw a dino, the last thing I would do is shake a stick at it…I would run….uumm sorry, I digressed. But my hubbie thought it would be fun to take the dino for a “walk”…my son was highly entertained by this and of course then they all had shoes, slippers, flip flops, crocs…anything we could find!
I wonder how it felt for that dino…walking a mile in my shoes….hhhmmm
It was a normal morning here @ Bush Manor, McKenzie got up around 7:30ish and was requiring her normal routine, bottle, cereal with fruit and diaper change…although this morning something was amiss….haha
At first I thought I was missing something and couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to change her…but then it hit me, the diaper was on completely backwards….haha And then I had to grab the camera! haha
In APL’s defense, the screaming, squirmy child was tired and crazy! And she was just trying to get the diaper on, and it for sure was on….:)
I did get a pretty good laugh @ that one! It was a nice way to start the day…laughing!:)
A part of childhood most of us fondly remember….the Ice Cream Truck! Ethan was introduced to Charlie the Ice Cream Man last month when Uncle Brian was home for a weekend. I had managed to keep the Ice Cream Truck a mystery and Ethan never asked once what it was or why it was driving down the street every day and night….never once did he ask….but on this fateful day he discovered the joy of that tinkling song! He was very excited and I was equally as happy that he could share that experience with his Uncle Bri-Bri, Aunt Ci-Ci and Cousin Baby Mason!
And wouldn’t you know it, I stashed a few bucks in the cupboard so after dinner one night we could make a mad dash outside to greet Charlie (the ice cream man) and share a Rocket Pop, and I haven’t seen (or heard) him. Murpheys law…

This year Raymond and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary…hard to believe that it has been that long, but on the other hand it seems like yesterday…:)
So he decided to take the day off work and off we went to Cleveland! He took me to the places that he took me on our “official” first date…:) And this is one of the places. It is in the Cleveland Botanical Gardens..it is beautiful. Although the gardens have changed ALOT, this spot hasn’t. The last time we were here we actually came down the steps and I don’t know if you can tell but the steps are a little uneven and he reached back and grabbed my hand to help me. Of course this was the first time he had held my hand so I was over the moon….and a little shocked! haha But when we went back we decided we needed a pic of it to put up and I think it turned out great!:)

Well it was Ethan’s big day! The BIG 4! Ethan got a bad case of food poisoning for his birthday, so we spent the whole day in his bedroom, which was not eventful, but we did have some quality time for sure! I can’t believe my little man is 4 already, it seems like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital and had our first night home….I was a nervous wreck! I am not sure I slept that night very much, very much like this night…all bday celebration plans came to a screeching halt. But we did manage to sing Happy Birthday in a very nontraditional way (very unlike us, of course! haha) as you can see I stuck a candle in his waffle, the first official thing he ate that day….:)

Ethan loves to take walks, especially when he is in the wagon, which isn’t really walking, it is riding! haha We are the ones taking a walk…which is fine, we need it! haha
